Apart from Lü Zhenyu and He Lüting, it is also hoped that a number of other senior cultural figures can be transferred and brought to Yan’an to engage in academic research. In the guerrilla environment of northern Jiangsu, they have no possibility of conducting academic research; it would be better for them to come to Yan’an, where their achievements may be greater.

The pistol squad escorting Shaoqi must be strong and effective, and must have capable cadres as its backbone.
