A passage added to Zhou Enlai’s material on the situation of the Kuomintang’s Fifth Plenary Session of the Ninth Central Committee[1]

(January 10, 1942)

The Ninth Plenary Session manifested the Kuomintang’s extreme vacillation. Such vacillation seems unlikely to change until fascism meets its defeat; whether it will then change for better or for worse shall be determined by international and domestic conditions.

This is a passage added by Mao Zedong to Zhou Enlai’s material on the situation of the Kuomintang’s Fifth Plenary Session of the Ninth Central Committee.
