Letter to Xu Fanting[1]

(September 22, 1941)

Comrade Fanting:

Your esteemed letter has been duly received. It has been forwarded to Comrade Chen Yun of the Organization Department for consideration. I will inform you upon receiving a reply. Your request is legitimate. My rheumatism has recently shown considerable improvement through bathing, sunbathing, massage, and eating fruit. Knowing your concern, I respectfully inform you. Comrade Guan Xiangying has already set out for Yan’an and will arrive in a few days.

Respectfully wishing you

good health!
