This time the Kuomintang launched an anti-Communist propaganda campaign, orchestrated solely by He Yingqin with Chiang’s tacit approval, but it was opposed by members of the Anglo-American faction, such as Guo Taiqi and Wang Shijie! After we liaised with British and American personnel in China and the Anglo-American faction, focusing on exposing the schemes of the pro-Japanese clique, according to a telegram from Enlai on the 23rd, the other side has already failed.
