The Current Situation and Our Policy[1]

(June 26, 1941)

Britain, the United States, and China all stand on the side of the Soviet Union. At present, there is a confrontation between the two great fronts, the fascist and the anti-fascist, and the prospects are favorable for the Soviet Union and for China. The situation in China may take a turn for the better, and our policy is to strive for such a turn and strike at the Japanese aggressors.
