Reply to Zhou Enlai’s Telegram[1]

(May 26, 1941)

Regarding the second general of the Kuomintang (the first asked whether we would coordinate in combat, the second asked whether we support the national center, both are generals directing questions at us), we should temporarily ignore them. Your view is in agreement with ours.

Wei Lihuang is very excited about our active coordination in combat. He has proposed meeting Hu Zongnan in Luoyang and sending a car to pick up Nan Hanchen to go there, to jointly discuss the grand plan of unity and resistance against Japan. We have already replied by telegram agreeing to this.
