Telegram to Zhou Enlai[1]

(February 21, 1941)

Delegates to the Seventh Congress have all arrived and are only waiting for your return. We plan to convene the congress on May 1[2] and find it inadvisable to postpone it any further. Please assess whether it is possible for you to return to Yan’an, and prepare for when you can return to Yan’an.
