Instruction on Transmitting Chen Yi’s Report on United Front Work[1]

(November 18, 1940)

The Central Committee and the Military Commission fully agree with Chen Yi’s united front policy and united front work. In order to enable cadres at and above the regimental level in all units to deeply study the tactics of the united front, to break down their narrow and undeveloped views, their attitude of caring for small gains while forgetting great interests, and their tendency to claim heroism while lacking methods, Chen Yi’s report is hereby specially transmitted to the entire army for study.
