Resolutely Block Li Wen’s Army from Crossing the River[1]

(March 15, 1940)

The three divisions of Hu Zongnan’s Central Army’s Ninetieth Army, led by Li Wen, have all advanced to the line of Jinggou Town in Daning and Pu County and Xiangning. This army has the intention of secretly moving around the areas of Daning, Yonghe, and Shilou, crossing the Yellow River by stealth, and attacking northern Shaanxi. Our river defense forces have the task of resolutely blocking this division from crossing the river.
