[1] Ouyang Ping was then serving as a political instructor of the Sixth Brigade of the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University (also known as the Eighth Route Army Accompanying School). This inscription was written by Mao Zedong on the back of a photograph taken while he was delivering a report at the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University, and the photograph was sent to Ouyang Ping.
