Agree with Guo Hongtao’s Suggestion on Restoring the Designation of the Eighth Route Army for the Fourth Detachment in Shandong[1]

(June 6, 1938)

Your core units may restore the designation of the Eighth Route Army guerrilla forces and organize a detachment headquarters, but there should not be too many; four or five Eighth Route Army detachments in all of Shandong will suffice. Other guerrilla units under our leadership may appear under various names, but the name “Anti-Japanese Allied Army” is not good.
