Telegram to the Shenfu Special Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (July 14, 1937)

The troops of Gao Guizi and Li Xianzhou are preparing to continue marching to the anti-Japanese front. It is hoped that you will immediately and strictly order the Party and government organs and local forces in Shenfu that we must not commit the slightest encroachment or disturbance in the defense areas they leave behind. Each should hold to their original defense positions and must not make any unusual moves.
