To Zhu De and Others[1]

(September 10, 1936)

Three divisions under Hu Zongnan, Mao Bingwen, and Wang Jun are preparing to attack Tongwei. The troops of the Fourth Front Red Army at Tongwei and Zhuanglang should move westward to approach Qin'an and engage in guerrilla operations, delaying the enemy forces and covering the advance northward of the Second Front Red Army ahead of schedule. The Second Front Red Army should quickly pass through Tongwei and proceed to the area between Jieshipu and Tongwei to rest, and prepare to move via Jieshipu to the area between Jingning, Guyuan, and Longde.
