To Liu Ding[1]

(August 11, 1936)

The Second and Fourth Front Armies of the Red Army are about to move out along the line of Minzhou and Longxi to strike Mao Bingwen. Quickly seize this opportunity to transfer the two divisions from Guyuan into Lanzhou; our First Front Army can then refrain from attacking Guyuan. Hope to dispatch an aircraft to Fushi to pick up Pan Hannian, so as to facilitate a prompt meeting with Zhang Xueliang.
