Are grain supplies sufficient? Where exactly are you at present? Can you exit southern Gansu by mid-August? The two Guang provinces[2] have experienced internal upheaval due to a lack of revolutionary resolve and internal instability, yet the fundamental situation of the national revolutionary upsurge remains unchanged. The Northwest United Front has made progress; after the three front armies join forces, it will immediately bring about a major change in the situation in the Northwest. Please keep us informed of your marching conditions.
