To Li Fuchun, Xiao Jinguang and Others on Strengthening Military Forces in Yuele, Quzi and Other Places and Winning Over the Northeast Army (June 10, 1936)

Fuchun, Jinguang, and inform Peng, Zuo, Nie[1]:

A. Zuo and Nie propose strengthening the military region forces in the areas of Yuele, Quzi, and Fucheng. Jinguang should, in addition to the dispatched 257th Regiment, send one more capable company to join forces with the Qing guerrilla unit to form a small detachment, operating in the south and southwest of this area, so as to cover the sovietization and link up the communications at Sancha.

B. The 257th Regiment and the aforementioned small detachment, apart from mounting guard and maintaining vigilance toward Qingyang in the designated area and clearing out bandit regiments, should devote their main strength to the work of winning over the Northeast Army, rather than making assaults or attacks on the Northeast Army. The provincial committee should also send a special person to provide guidance.
