Combat Results of the Left and Center Route Armies[1]

Lin and Nie:

1. Our Left Route Army, after reaching Xingxian and advancing south, has won successive battles. On April 7, it wiped out one company of the enemy’s 75th Division, capturing over 41 men and rifles each. On the 11th, at Zhujiadian between Gedong Town in Fangshan and Lishi, it routed two battalions of Sun Chu’s 101st Division, taking more than 80 prisoners and seizing over 80 rifles, 13 submachine guns, and 3 light machine guns. At Sanjiazhuang, it routed one brigade of Yang Xiaou’s 66th Division, annihilated one regiment, captured one regiment commander alive, over ten battalion and company commanders, and more than 600 soldiers; the seized materiel is still being inventoried. 2. Yesterday, on the 12th, the Song Detachment of our Center Route Army routed one battalion of the enemy’s 72nd Division advancing westward at Jingxiang Town in Fenxi, capturing over 60 prisoners and seizing more than 50 rifles, 2 heavy machine guns, and 3 light machine guns.
