To Zhou Enlai[1]

(February 12, 1936)

After the First Front Red Army crosses eastward, it is proposed to dispatch the First Regiment of the Twenty-Eighth Red Army, under the command of either Liu Zhidan or Song Renqiong, to move from east of the river toward Jundu, Liulin, and Zhongyang; the units under Yan Hongyan and Cai Shufan shall consolidate the positions along the eastern bank of the river, so as to enable the main force to operate due east and later shift to the southeast for combat.
