General Order on the Formation of the Northwest Revolutionary Military Commission[1]

(November 3, 1935)

By order of the Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic, the following nine comrades are hereby appointed as members of the Northwest Revolutionary Military Commission: Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Peng Dehuai, Wang Jiaxiang, Nie Hongjun[2], Lin Biao, Xu Haidong, Cheng Zihua, and Guo Hongtao[3], with Mao Zedong serving as Chairman and Zhou Enlai and Peng Dehuai as Vice Chairmen. This order is to be implemented immediately upon assumption of office, and is hereby issued for general notification.

By this order,

Chairman: Mao Zedong
Vice Chairmen: Zhou Enlai, Peng Dehuai

[1] This is the general order issued by Mao Zedong and Vice Chairmen Zhou Enlai and Peng Dehuai of the Northwest Revolutionary Military Commission on the formation of the Northwest Revolutionary Military Commission.

[2] Nie Hongjun was then serving as a member of the delegation of the Central Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Northern Bureau stationed in the Northern Shaanxi Soviet Area, and as a member of the Northwest Revolutionary Military Commission.

[3] Xu Haidong was then serving as Commander of the 15th Army Corps of the Red Army. Cheng Zihua was then serving as Political Commissar of the 15th Army Corps of the Red Army. Guo Hongtao was then serving as Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shaanxi-Gansu-Shanxi Provincial Committee.
