To Zhu De and Zhang Guotao[1]

(September 1, 1935)

The present situation is extremely favorable for advancing. The Right Route Army must push forward with its main force, taking care not to advance beyond the line of Xigu and Minzhou.

Once the Left Route Army arrives, one detachment shall move toward Nanping, and another detachment shall feign an attack toward Wenxian to threaten the enemy, while the main force concentrates on breaking through from the area between Wudu, Xigu, and Minzhou. This will surely secure a great victory.
