Conversation with Wu Jiqing[1]

Just settle your mind and lie on my stretcher to recover from your illness. It is a bit more tiring for the comrades to carry you along, but that doesn’t matter, because we are all comrades.

[1] In early November 1934, Mao Zedong noticed that his guard Wu Jiqing was suffering from malaria with a high fever. He gave his own stretcher to Wu Jiqing and spoke these words to him.
