Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet—
Who holds a colored ribbon dancing in the sky?
After the rain the slanting sun returns,
The mountain passes turn deep blue, wave upon wave.

That year the fierce battle raged,
Bullets pierced the walls of the village ahead.
Adorning these mountain passes,
Today they look even more splendid.
