General Directive No. 10 of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission[1]

In the upcoming second counter-encirclement campaign, local armed forces shall take the initiative to actively attack and harass the enemy, flexibly apply guerrilla tactics, and employ the secrets of "the enemy advances, we retreat; the enemy halts, we harass; the enemy retreats, we pursue; the enemy tires, we fight," adopting the methods of breaking up the whole into parts and assembling the parts into a whole, so as to fulfill their due tasks.
