Order to the First Front Army of
the Red Army to Extend Its Work for
Three Days in the Original Location
(October 29, 1930, in front of Luofangyuan)
I. The Jiangxi enemy has not made any significant movements, every single
one of the Hunan enemy has returned to Hunan, and there are no enemies in
Shanggao, Wanzai, and Yuanzhou.
2. The plan is for this front army to remain in its present location and extend
its work for three days until November 2.
3. Points for attention in the work of all units:
a. Each unit should raise enough funds to supply itself with provisions for one
month or longer.
b. Make efforts to capture weapons from the landlords and reactionaries, arm
reliable peasants to the extent possible, or concentrate forces to organize
Red Guard units.
c. Thoroughly distribute all farmland within each work area.
d. Each unit must find ways to purchase bullets (because in the local villages
a large quantity of bullets are being hidden.)
e. Pay attention to internal political and military training.
4. General Headquarters remains with the Central Revolutionary Military
Committee in the original location.
Attention:
a. The work area should be expanded as much as possible according to circumstances.
b. Transportation and communications during the period of operations should
be carried out in compliance with the communications network diagram
and the regulations issued by the Staff Office of this headquarters.
c. Each unit must submit a daily report to this headquarters documenting in
detail the following items:
(i) Reconnaissance results. (ii) Espionage and transportation arrangements. (iii) Captured arms and their allocation. (iv) Situation and process

of land distribution. (v) Amount of funds collected and the process.

d. During this period of work, all units of the First Front Army should operate
in accordance with the principles decided upon at the education conference
of the whole army group in Ji'an. All must use the new troop formations
based on the newly formulated tactics, and must undertake training in the
construction of fortifications.
