Order to the First Army Group of the Red Army
to Occupy the Line from Fengshupu and
Xinqiao to Luoxiaping
(August 28, 1930, 9:00 P.M., at Zhentou)
I. An order has been received from

Commander-in-chief Zhu and Political
Commissar Mao of the Front Army as follows:

2. In accordance with the order, this army group will occupy the Fengshupu,
Xinqiao, and Luoxiaping line tomorrow.


3. The Fourth Army is to be the right wing of this army group (middle route),
and it should leave here tomorrow morning and advance toward Fengshuhe (10 li)
by way of Baijiashan (25 li), Dutou (5 li), and Tuantouhe (a total of 45 li). Upon
arrival at Fengshuhe it should encamp and await orders to attack Changsha.


4. The Twelfth Army is to be the left wing of this army group, and it should
leave here at 3:00 A.M. tomorrow and advance toward Xinqiao (15 li) by way of
Qijiachong (3 li), Jiutiaolong (2 li), Tuqiao (6 li), Zhangqiao (5 li), Shijiaduan (4
li), and Maguomiao (15 li) (a total of 45 li), encamp (straight across to
Guandaopu is 5 li), and await orders to attack Changsha.


5. Units directly attached to General Headquarters are to follow the Workers'
and Peasants' Revolutionary Committee, set out at 3:30 after the Twelfth Army,
and advance to encamp at Xinqiao.


6. The Third Army is to be the reserve force of this army group, to set out
from here at 4:00 A.M. tomorrow, and march after the units directly attached to
General Headquarters to encamp near Xinqiao.


7. During the march we will be at the position of General Headquarters.


Addendum:


I) When the Twelfth Army arrives in Xinqiao tomorrow, if there are enemy
troops in Dongsigang it should immediately aid the Fourth Army in surrounding
and destroying them.


2) Acting Army Commander Luo of the Twelfth Army is in charge of allocating camp sites and posting guards in the vicinity of Xinqiao tomorrow.
