Suggestions at the Sixth Meeting of the CPC Shanghai Local Committee cum District Committee[1]

(1) The responsible persons of the Labor Committee and the Labor Secretariat should be unified; (2) The chairman of the National Committee should be replaced; (3) The attitude toward Shao Lizi, Shen Xuanlu, and Chen Wangdao must be moderated, and they should be incorporated into small groups.

[1] On August 5, 1923, the Sixth Meeting of the CPC Shanghai Local Committee cum District Committee was convened. Mao Zedong participated on behalf of the CPC Central Committee. Also attending the meeting were Xu Meikun, Wang Zhenyi, Shen Yanbing, and Deng Zhongxia, making a total of five persons. In accordance with Mao Zedong’s proposal, the meeting secretly ordered Jin Fozhuang to conduct anti-war propaganda when the opportunity arose. Mao Zedong also put forward three suggestions on behalf of the Central Committee. Jin Fozhuang was then serving as a battalion commander in the garrison regiment under Xia Chao, head of the Zhejiang Provincial Police Department.
