Letter to Peng Huang[1]

(January 6, 1921)

I am quite dissatisfied with your attitude toward Li Rong over the past month. It greatly contravenes your usual magnanimity. Even if Li Rong were utterly in the wrong, you should not treat him with such an unbearable, otherworldly attitude. Flattering a person to their face and slandering a person to their face are equally unbearable in this world.

The Youth League plans to hold its inaugural meeting on January 13. I hope you will attend.
