INTRODUCTION TO THE PROGRAMME’S SECTION ON
MILITARY AFFAIRS.
In the realm of military tasks and military operations, the situation in the Soyo Republic under the dictatorship of the proletariat has unfolded as follows.
As our Party had long foreseen, the imperialist war could not end not only with a just peace, but not even with a simple peace treaty concluded by bourgeois governments. This petty-bourgeois illusion held by democrats and social-democrats has been utterly refuted by the course of events. [On the contrary, the imperialist war] It was, and continues to be, inexorably transformed—before our very eyes—into a civil war between the exploited working masses, led by the proletariat, against the exploiters, against the bourgeoisie.
Both the resistance of the exploiters, which grows as the pressure from the proletariat intensifies—and is especially reinforced by the proletariat’s victories in individual countries—as well as the international solidarity and international organizational capacity of the bourgeoisie, all inevitably lead to the intertwining of civil wars within individual nations with revolutionary wars [waged by bourgeois states against proletarian states, and between proletarian states themselves].
