I would very much request that Comrade Smushkova, the Head of Library Affairs for the RSFSR, who resides in the Second House of Soviets, be provided with an additional room—albeit a small one. The room currently occupied by Smushkova is already home to seven people. Under such conditions, Smushkova, who bears a highly responsible workload, is unable either to work effectively or to get adequate rest. At present, she has fallen ill, a consequence of her chronic inability to sleep or to secure even the slightest respite from her duties—a condition that has left her in poor health for 280 days.
