13. 9. 04.

Dear Vladimir Dmitriyevich! In my opinion, don't submit any petition at all, as we have already decided 285.

To the pamphlet*** glue a sheet on which you print 1) an announcement about your publishing house (and on the reverse side); 2) a statement about Boris's prohibition (as it has already been set in type); 3) Boris's letter (this) 286 of 12. IX, without the postscript; 4) a short addition to the letter, roughly as follows: "Such is the policy of people who with such magnificence conducted a 'principled' war against formalism and bureaucratism! It would be interesting to know, however, which point of the statute forbids party members from publishing party literature?

V. Bonch-Bruevich".

Greetings to everyone. I'll arrive on Thursday, the day after tomorrow.

Your N. Lenin
