# Telegram to National Councillor Grimm in Bern

Source: LS vol II

On the same day, i.e., on the evening of March 5!8, Vladimir Ilyich sent a telegram to Grimm, which we reproduce below from a copy preserved in the aforementioned copybook. On the copy, in Vladimir Ilyich's handwriting, there is a note "sent on Saturday, March 5/18, in the evening and received by Grimm in the morning of April 1st."
1 1.
LENIN.
TELEGRAM TO NATIONAL COUNCILLOR GRIMM.
BERN.
[March 31/18, Saturday.
Our party has decided unconditionally to accept the offer for the passage of Russian emigrants through Germany and to immediately organize this journey.
We already have more than ten travelers.
We absolutely cannot be responsible for any further delay, resolutely protest against it, and will go alone.
We urgently request that the negotiations be concluded without delay and, if possible, to inform us of the decision tomorrow.
With gratitude, Lenin, Zinoviev, Ulyanova.]
