LENIN MISCELLANY.
[Postscript by N. K. Krupskaya,]
Are there any connections with anyone in Finland?
One of our young ladies is going there, asking for connections, in party terms] she is an inexperienced person and, despite all the desire, not very useful for anything, but a very good person.
So appropriate connections are also needed.
What are the living conditions in Finland for illegal immigrants?

2) A. M. Kollontai's pamphlet "Who Needs the War?"
3) This letter from Vladimir Ilyich, as well as those corrections to A. M. Kollontai's pamphlet, which Vladimir Ilyich writes about, are not available to the Institute.
4) Vladimir Ilyich intended to move to one of the neutral countries and instructed Comrade Shlyapnikov to prepare this.
Comrade Shlyapnikov sounded out Branting, who guaranteed safety on the condition of non-interference in the affairs of the Swedish party.
The move did not take place for the reasons indicated in the text of the letter.
5) Here and in some of the subsequent letters, Vladimir Ilyich, addressing the letter to Shlyapnikov, refers to him in the letters themselves as Belenin. This was done for greater conspiracy and especially in connection with the planned trip of Shlyapnikov - Belenin to Russia.

25.
Dear friend!
Try to see Belenin and please tell him that he has been co-opted as a member of the Central] Committee of the R.S.-D.R. Party. You understand, of course, that in this matter you must observe *maximum* conspiracy and that you must "forget" about this after conveying the message to Belenin (I am not writing to him directly for obvious reasons).
His function on the trip is very important: Trotsky and Co. of foreign lackeys of opportunism are making every effort to "paper over" the disagreements and "save" the opportunism of "Nashe Zari" by whitewashing and extolling the Chkheidze faction (= the most loyal friends of "Nashe Zari").
It is necessary to create groups in Russia (from old, experienced, intelligent, fully understanding the issue of war Pravdists - workers), to take the best of them (2-3) into the C.C.
If there are difficulties or doubts, - limit yourself to creating similar boards (e.g., "leading all-Russian working group" or "committee", etc.; the matter is not in the name, of course).
Your connections and knowledge of old experienced workers will help you give advice to Belenin, who, of course, will take the matter very seriously and carefully.
And the most important thing is for him to protect himself now, going for a short time and bringing all the CONNECTIONS.
Best greetings!
Drop me a line immediately on receipt of this letter.
Yours, Lenin.
To A. Shlyapnikov.
