Dear friend!
Enclosing a check.
Most likely, the sender was
Axelrod, then the money can be received back, but if
Petrovsky, then I don’t know what will happen to this money.
Try, in any case, to send the check so that it would be possible, in case of the disappearance of the addressee, to get it back,
i.e., list as sender some official] person, like Branting.
I was preparing a large message for you (a couple of notebooks) with excerpts from various documents, but now, apparently,
this is superfluous... 4).
Well, I firmly shake your hand for now.
If you still go to Copen- hagen, then let me know the address to write to.
By the way, there is one, a fully acclimatized Bolshevik there, a very capable
guy. His address: M. Kobezky 5), Kapelvej 51. Kjôbenhavn N. All
the same, it would be better for you to stay in Sweden for the time being, maybe it will be possible
to restore some connections.
All the best. Nadezhda Krupskaya.

On November 4th, 5 members of the R. S.-D. R.
Faction of the State Duma were arrested at the All-Russian conference of Bolsheviks
on the issue of war, based on the denunciation of the provocateur Romanov — G. I. Petrovsky, M. K. Muranov,
A. E. Badaev, N. R. Shagov, F. N. Samoilov, in addition to them — L. B. Kamenev,
V. N. Yakovlev—representative of the Kharkov org., K. Pechak (F. K. Linde —
from the Latvians, I. A. Voronin — from Ivanovo-Voznesensk, I. Ya. Kozlov
and N. K. Antipov — both from workers of Petersburg.
Everyone was charged under Article 102 of the Criminal Code. On 10/II/1915 the trial took place, and the deputies
as well as L. B. Kamenev, Yakovlev, Linde, and Voronin were exiled to settle,
and Antipov was sentenced to 8 months in a fortress.

3) This refers to the reply of the liquidators Vanderwelde, published in No. 34 of «S.-D.»,
originating from the staff of «Our
Dawn» and «New
Workers' Gazette».
4) In one of his letters, Shlyapnikov asked for materials to be sent to him
characterizing the military position of socialists of various
countries, for re-sending them to Petersburg for the Duma Faction.

Committee of the Comintern.

Dear friend î
Today I received a telegram from Branting that "newspapers
confirm the arrest of 5 deputies." I'm afraid that now we can't
doubt the fact of the arrest!
A terrible thing. The government apparently decided to take revenge on the R.S.-D.R.
Faction and will stop at nothing.
We must expect the worst: falsification of documents, forgeries, planting
evidence," perjury, a trial with closed doors, etc., etc.
I think that without such tricks the government would not have achieved
a conviction.
Could we try to find out the names of the 6 people arrested?
Is Kamenev safe? 1).
In any case, the work of our party has now become 100 times
more difficult.
And yet we will lead it! «Pravda» has raised thousands of conscious workers, from whom, despite all difficulties,
a collective of leaders will be selected again — the Russian Central Committee of the
party.
Now it is especially important that you stay in Stockholm
or near Stockholm]) and put all your efforts into establishing
connections in Petersburg.
(Write, did you receive the money on loan: in the last letter I enclosed a note about this for you. If you did not receive it and there is nowhere to get it, we will probably be able to send you something;
write in more detail."
In Zurich from December] the newspaper «Echoes» is promised (liquidators- ^ Trotsky is right .
In Paris, the daily
S.-R. «Thought» began to be published (Arch-vulgar phrase-mongering with a game of "leftism").
