To Bogdanov, with a copy to the Deputy of Kursky
I harbor serious doubts regarding the SKF (Swedish Ball Bearing Company).

Has the legal dimension of this matter been adequately addressed—that is, has our interest been duly safeguarded?

This interest demands that we allow no compromise whatsoever in upholding the principle that we are the owners of all nationalized enterprises and warehouses. These enterprises and warehouses can only revert to the hands of their former owners through a formal purchase from us. While we may occasionally make concessions by transferring these enterprises and warehouses at a low price, we must never relinquish our rightful ownership.

I earnestly request that this matter be scrutinized with particular care from the perspective outlined above. I especially urge that the review be conducted within the People’s Commissariat for Justice, where Kursky personally knew and oversaw this case—and either Kursky himself must be located, or a colleague within the People’s Commissariat must be found who is no less well-informed than Kursky.
