[Dear friend!]** Yesterday Marat arrived (entirely with the opposition) and Vlasov (with us). Vlasov gave his promise to travel to you in a few days. So wait and in no case move about, so as not to miss each other. Vlasov is disposed as you are: principled with us, but he censures us for precipitousness, for Pokrovsky's victory, etc. So do not be afraid: Vlasov will now be in power, and we shall not commit a single inconsistency.

Vlasov reproaches us for our inability to get around people, to court them (and he is right here). So even on this score do not be afraid: Vlasov will now manage all this.

Meshkovsky and the regionalists have left. So we shall accomplish everything. [So] do not worry, take your treatment seriously. In no case move from the sanatorium.

If you do not recover completely in three weeks (in three weeks rather, since nothing is known for certain yet), then you will be our undoing. Do not begrudge a few hundred francs—that would be absurd.

Take your treatment, walk, sleep, eat [without fail], because for [the party] we need a healthy asset.

Today there was a meeting of the Paris group. Geneva announced a break with the BC and called the Paris group to do the same. Marat made a speech for Geneva; Vlasov spoke against him. This is good: Geneva has initiated the split and Marat, without the BC's knowledge, was inciting the group against the BC, without raising this question in the BC.

They are starting it themselves, sitting themselves in the mud.

All the [best]. Take your treatment, take your treatment and be at peace!

Your [Lenin] (Switzerland)
