Dear Friends! Your letter has infinitely delighted us—it breathes such vigor that it has given us all energy as well 289. Carry out your plan without fail. It is splendid and will have enormous significance. Writing a letter to the German*** is also absolutely necessary. We await your further letters with impatience. Your advice concerning the publishing house has already been half realized. There are literary forces available, and there is a mass of ready material. Generally speaking, the mood among all of us now is vigorous, there are masses of plans, the old man has also taken up work, correspondence with Russia and abroad has become more lively, and now, I hope, soon the public will begin to group itself. The Minority is now embracing itself with the reconcilers, the Central Organ is undertaking the publication of a popular organ, the southern workers have been given a tip. Details concerning the publishing house of the majority will be communicated to you by mutual acquaintances, to whom we are writing in detail about this. Kola's wife and the child are in good health, they are living in Ekaterinoslav. Repeat the names of the people whom it would be desirable to attract to literary work. A wanderer has arrived, the minority is courting him, he has not yet taken a definite position.
