Comrade Swidersky!

Thank you for the materials you sent—448.

I’m hardly likely to finish reading them in time.

If you need them, just let me know—I’ll be glad to send them along.

A. D. Tsyurupa has taken ill with a nervous disorder (those famous German doctors were treating him only for heart problems)
and he has been left in Germany for an extended period.

We’ll have to proceed without him; we must carefully consider who should take charge and how; we ought to consult with Stalin.

Yours, Lenin

P.S. I believe you should first fully recover your health, have all your teeth replaced, and
learn to eat using them—and only then should you throw yourself wholeheartedly into RAKri. Assemble a reliable team of 2–3 colleagues, entrust them with launching an immediate, fundamental transformation
(instead of merely tinkering with the numbers—reducing from 8,000 to 2,000 while improving quality; thoroughly study normalization and related matters, etc.).

P.S. Please convey my regards to Fossa, but do so very politely. I cannot promise a meeting—449.
