1 On 17 August 1922 at an audience with V. I. Lenin was Deputy Commissar
of Finance M. K. Vladimiroff. A conversation lasting half an hour took place concerning the work
of the People's Commissariat of Finance and its policy toward NEP merchants. On 19 August Lenin
conversed with Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Economy I. T. Smilga.
On 21 August, in the course of half an hour, Lenin conversed with Commissar of Foreign Trade
L. B. Krasin before his trip to Berlin for negotiations
with English industrialist L. Urquhart regarding the granting of him a concession.
On 22 August Lenin received Deputy Chairman of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee and
Council of Labor and Defense
A. I. Rykov, with whom he conversed for half an hour.
