Note by V.I.Lenin

Isn't it long before 1 .IV. 1923?

Note by L.B.Kamenev

Long enough until 1.I.221*.

Lomonosov himself is ready to return immediately. Yesterday he hinted to me that he was ready to become Dzerzhinsky's deputy - for the duration of his vacation - for a trial.

He stated to me: I will appear at the first telegram.

1* So in the document: it should be 1923.

November 11, 1922 V.I.Lenin talked with Y.V.Lomonosov about his return to work in the People's Commissariat of Railway Transport. On the same day Lenin in a telegram to F.E.Dzerzhinsky in Sukhum asked the latter to inform him about his attitude to this proposal. Dzerzhinsky on November 2 gave his consent, but suggested that during his vacation Lomonosov should be appointed a member of the People's Commissariat of Railways board.

The preparators have no information about Lomonosov's appointment.
