TELEGRAM TO DEPUTIES OF THE DEPUTY CHAIRMEN OF THE COUNCIL OF PEOPLE'S COMMISSARS*
April 12, 1922
I request that a meeting of deputies be arranged today to develop
practical and most energetic measures to achieve that the Kashira station starts supplying current to Moscow.
It is a completely intolerable outrage if a ready station,
with ready wires cannot supply current because of our economic disorders.

FROM A LETTER TO THE PEOPLE'S COMMISSARIAT OF POSTS AND TELEGRAPHS
May 11, 1922
Comrade Dovgalevsky, Today I read in "Izvestia" a message that the Nizhny
Novgorod Soviet has petitioned the All-Russian Central Executive Committee to grant
the Nizhny Novgorod Radio Laboratory the Order of the Red
Banner of Labor and to place professors Bonch-Bruevich and Vologdin on the red board.
I ask for your feedback. For my part, I would consider it
necessary to support this petition.
By the way, in connection with your letter to me, I ask you to
report whether you are fully satisfied with the work of the Nizhny Novgorod Radio
Laboratory; and also to send me, if possible the very shortest, review of Bonch-Bruevich on how his work is progressing
on the manufacture of loudspeakers capable of transmitting to broad
masses what is being reported by wireless telephone. These
works are of exceptionally important significance to us in view
of the fact that their success, which has long been promised by Bonch-Bruevich,
would bring enormous benefits to agitation and propaganda.
Therefore, it is necessary to make some sacrifices in order to
support these works. In particular, I have heard that in America
similar works have already led to successful practical results.
It would be necessary to check whether the Nizhny
Novgorod Radio Laboratory has all the latest American literature
on this issue at its disposal.
I ask for your feedback as soon as possible so that I can,
if necessary, sign this or that message or petition at the session of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee opening tomorrow.
Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars
V. Ulyanov (Lenin)
