Comrade Rykov!

Of course, without naming you specifically, I questioned Mezhlauk while he was with me. It seems that you were given entirely inaccurate information.

After reading it, please forward it to Molotov.

Best regards!

Lenin.

Fund 2, Inventory 1, Case 23042 — autograph.

On April 16, 1922, I.I. Mezhlauk, Chairman of the United Board of Petrovsky, Makeyevsky, and Yuzovskiy State-Owned Factories and Mines (Yugostal), sent a note to V.I. Lenin requesting an audience in order to receive information about the Donets metallurgical industry. In the note, he stated that he would be leaving in the evening of April 8.

Apparently, Lenin sent A.I. Rykov materials on Yu.V. Lomonosov, which he mentions in his note to the Secretary dated April 6 (see Doc. 376).
