Keep it in the archive and don't forget (if I go away) to show it to the All-Tsekists, if somehow or other the question of Lomonosov2 arises somewhere.

Fund 2, op. 1, d. 23035, fol. 1 - autograph.

1The note to the secretary was written by Lenin on the back of a note by L.B. Kamenev to him: "I had a meeting with the railroad workers yesterday. There were two major specialists. I asked them in passing about foreign steam locomotives (Lomonosov). The answer: "Excellent. They save us now in the transportation of food". L. Kamenev." On the note V.I.Lenin marked: "Received 6/IV 1922".

2It seems that V.I.Lenin had collected documents on the activities of the Railway Mission of Y.V.Lomonosov, on the acquisition of steam locomotives in Germany and on Lomonosov's conflict with the People's Commissariat for Foreign Trade, on the resolution of the Sovnarkom on March 24 (see doc. 375), with which the members of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) were to familiarize themselves.
