LETTER TO V. M. MOLOTOV FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE POLITBURO OF THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF THE RCP(b) CONCERNING CREDITS TO THE SHATILOVSKY OAT TRUST
To Comrade Molotov, for the members of the Politburo; a copy to Comrade Osinsky
Comrade Osinsky has written to me that the Politburo is canceling all credits granted in addition to the original budget—among them, the credit allocated to the Shatilovsky Oat Trust. I have taken a keen interest in this matter and must say that, according to my information, it is an exceptionally important issue that must be upheld at all costs, by whatever means necessary. Unfortunately, Osinsky does not provide the specific figures in question. I request that you ask Osinsky, Sokolnikov, and Tsiurupa to submit a brief report on this matter—no more than a few lines—in time for tomorrow morning, and that the question be reconsidered tomorrow at the Politburo meeting, with Osinsky summoned to attend if the data presented by Comrades Tsiurupa and Sokolnikov do not fully exhaust the issue.
