To Molotov in Politburo

I propose the Politburo to decide:

To relieve the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the tedious duty of supervising that sick comrades do not sabotage the Central Committee's resolutions on their departure for rest and on observance of the regime (non-signing of questionnaires by Rudzutak and Bukharin's wife), to appoint a special responsible person for this purpose, who can keep his reminders in writing and only in case of extreme necessity report to the Central Committee on non-compliance.

To oblige, on behalf of the Politburo, Comrades Rudzutak and Bukharin to sign the questionnaires within 24 hours.

1On the issue raised in the published letter, V.I.Lenin on the same day, January 12, 1922, wrote to V.M.Molotov about the need for doctors to monitor A.D.Tsyurupa and G.Y.Sokolnikov, who had returned from abroad after treatment (see: Lenin V.I. Complete Collected Works, vol. 54, pp. 110-111).

After questioning the members of the Politburo, the minutes of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) of January 13, 1922, included the following: "a) To oblige the People's Commissariat of Health to indicate a certain responsible person for the implementation of the resolutions of the Central Committee on the treatment of individual comrades. 6) To oblige, on behalf of the Politburo, Tts. Rudzutak and Bukharina to sign the questionnaires within 24 hours" (RCCHIDNI, f. 17, op. 3, d. 252, l. 1).
