March 3, 1921
Comrade Sklyansky!
Comrade Kondraty Yemelyanov, a Red Army soldier (address: 16th Army,
1st separate sapper company, 5th rifle division)
asks me to recall him from his unit and allow him to enroll in the Military Engineering Academy in Petrograd (Sadovaya, 4).
He completed the
Military Engineering
Technical College on
February 22, 1920, and upon completion was assigned to the Western Front.
He would now like, with the lull on the fronts, to continue
his education.
I personally know Comrade Kondraty Yemelyanov and the entire Yemelyanov family
(among the best Petrograd Bolshevik workers of the "old guard"), and therefore I ask you (if you have no particular
objections) to fulfill Comrade Kondraty Yemelyanov's request
and issue the appropriate order.
Please drop me a line in reply.
With communist greetings, Lenin
