[28/VII 1921]

Comrade Zinoviev!
My conversation yesterday with Zetkin before her departure I consider, in view of a number of her statements, to be so important that it is essential to inform you of it.
She wants to set Levi two conditions:
1.  to relinquish his mandate as a Member of Parliament;
2. to close his organ (“Soviet” or “Nash Put’” [Our Path], as it is now, it seems, called) with a loyal statement regarding the decisions of the Third Congress of the Communist International.
Furthermore, she is afraid that some of Levi’s friends might take it into their heads to publish Rosa Luxemburg’s manuscript against the Bolsheviks (written, it seems, in prison in 1918). If anyone does this, she intends to declare in print that she is fully convinced of the disloyalty of such an act. She, you see, knew Rosa Luxemburg most intimately and is convinced that Rosa herself acknowledged these views of hers to be erroneous, acknowledged after her release from prison that her information was insufficient.
Moreover, Leo Jogiches, Rosa Luxemburg’s closest friend, two days before his death, in a detailed conversation with Zetkin, told her about this manuscript of Rosa Luxemburg’s, that Rosa Luxemburg herself acknowledged its erroneousness. Zetkin wanted, at my request, to write this to you.
If she has done so, please send me her letter.
It is also interesting that, according to her, in Germany there is a wave of unification of all workers (both SDP and USP-Leute \*) in the struggle against Lohnabbau \*\* etc. Of course, Zetkin was **quite right** when she said that communists must support such unification in the struggle against capitalists. If the “lefts” are against it, they must be brought to their senses.
Yours, Lenin

To Zinoviev

P. S. Lozovsky has already published the resolutions of the Profintern 2 congress. What a fine fellow!
And you?? Appoint a **responsible person** for the editorial work and instruct Lozovsky to publish the resolutions of the Third Congress of the Communist International.
