To:   P. A. ZALUTSKY

Comrade Zalutsky:

I am sending on this letter to you. Pass it on where it
belongs, if it has nothing to do with you.

The charges against such an old Party member and revolutionary, known to every Latvian, and then to Trotsky
and many others during the war, are clearly incredible.
I have known Danishevsky throughout the Party’s history, years and years before the revolution, and I request that
everything, should be checked carefully, rigorously and
comprehensively. [1]

Yours,

Lenin

On the strength of unverified accusations, K. Kh. Danishevsky
was expelled from the R.C.P.(B.), at the end of 1921, by the
Khamovniki District Commission (Moscow) for Purging the Party.

The Central Commission for Checking up on the Membership
of the R.C.P.(B.) rejected the groundless accusations and
reinstated Danishevsky in the Party.
