This telephone message was given by V. I. Lenin in connection with a telegram he received from the Siberian Revolutionary Committee, which reported that on 22 August Baron Ungern had been surrounded by the vanguard of Red Army troops, taken prisoner together with his staff, and conveyed to Novonikolayevsk. On 15 September 1921, the White Guard Baron Ungern was sentenced by the Tribunal to be shot.

At the top of the document there is a note by the secretary:

"Conclusion

of Vladimir

Ilyich, transmitted by telephone for the Politburo."
