NOTE BY M. I. GLASSER
[August 14, 1921] To Comrade Glasser!
I request that you enclose the accompanying letters:
1) in a packet for Zetkin¹
2) in a packet for “Zentral” V. K. P. D.² — one copy of my letter³ in each packet.
Both packets should be carefully sealed and securely fastened, then handed over to Rakosi⁴ as soon as possible, with a note appended stating that I have received so many hours’ worth of time to dispatch this very day.
Comrade Lenin
1 Clara Zetkin was elected to the Executive Committee of the Communist International at the Third Congress of the Communist International.
2 “Zentral” V. K. P. D. (Vereinigte Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands) — the Central Committee of the United Communist Party of Germany.
3 We are referring to the “Letter to German Communists,” addressed to the Congress of the German Communist Party, which took place from August 22–26, 1921 (see V. I. Lenin, Complete Collected Works, Volume 44, pp. 88–100).
4 Matthias Rakosi had been a member of the Communist Party of Hungary since 1918; from 1921 to 1924, he served as one of the Secretaries of the Executive Committee of the Communist International.
