¹ **A. P. Pinkevich** – Soviet higher education official. From 1903–1908, he was a member of the RSDLP. In 1917–1919, he aligned with the Mensheviks. From 1919–1921, he served as deputy and later chairman of the Commission for Improving the Living Conditions of Scholars.  

² **K. E. Voroshilov** – Prominent figure in the Communist Party and Soviet state. Party member since 1903. In 1919–1921, he was one of the organizers and a member of the Revolutionary Military Council of the 1st Cavalry Army. At this time, he was Commander of the North Caucasus Military District. Later served as People's Commissar for Military and Naval Affairs and Chairman of the Revolutionary Military Council of the USSR.  

³ **Demian Bedny** – Distinguished Soviet poet, Bolshevik Party member since 1912.  

**I. P. Goldenberg** – Social Democrat. After the Second Congress of the RSDLP, became a Bolshevik. During the revolutionary upsurge, adopted a conciliatory stance. Rejoined the Bolshevik Party in 1920. Journalist.  

**N. A. Rozhkov** – Historian and publicist, Menshevik. Met the October Revolution with hostility. Fought against Soviet power. By decision of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) in December 1922, was warned of possible expulsion from Soviet Russia if anti-Soviet activities continued. Later broke with the Mensheviks, working in scientific, pedagogical, and administrative roles in various institutions.  

⁴ **G. G. Herbek** – In 1921, Deputy Chairman of the Urals Industrial Bureau of the Supreme Economic Council and Deputy Chief of Supplies for the Army.
